Working alongside Backend, Frontend, iOS, and Android Engineers, you’ll build product innovations for Catawiki’s apps and web app.<br>You’ll collaborate closely with QA, UX Designers, Product Managers, and with the support of a Tech Lead Manager to create beautiful, adaptable web frontends on top of scalable microservices. As a Senior Developer, you are effective in lifting the level of your team, and you love to cooperate with Frontend Engineers of other teams.</p> <ul> <li value="1"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Extensive frontend experience</span>:</span> Demonstrated experience as a Frontend Engineer, using JavaScript or TypeScript as your main stack, with a strong portfolio of frontend deliveries.</li> <li value="2"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Strong web foundations</span>:</span> Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, along with an understanding of HTTP/S, the Critical Rendering Path, CORS, caching, and CDNs.</li> <li value="3"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Modern frontend expertise</span>:</span> Familiarity with libraries and frameworks such as ReactJS, NextJS, Redux, CSS Modules, Tailwind, and/or Rails.</li> <li value="4"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Product-focused collaboration</span>:</span> Proven experience in product companies, working closely with engineers and Product Managers as part of an autonomous, cross-functional team.</li> <li value="5"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Production ownership</span>:</span> Experience designing, implementing, deploying, monitoring, and managing applications with a focus on availability, latency, and consistency - you build it, you run it, you love it.</li> <li value="6"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Quality-minded engineering</span>:</span> An understanding of principles such as SOLID and DRY, with consideration for accessibility, security, SEO, performance, testing, observability, internationalisation, and typing when building features.</li> <li value="7"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Collaborate and grow with your team</span>:</span> You take initiative, welcome new challenges, help raise the level of your team, share knowledge across teams, and actively expand your skills and impact.</li> <li value="8"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Experiment, learn, and iterate</span>:</span> You validate ideas quickly, iterate based on insights, and are willing to discard what does not work - then build validated solutions for long-term scalability and maintainability.</li> </ul> <p>Familiarity with <strong>NodeJS</strong> and experience running it in production is a plus.
