Working alongside Backend, Frontend, iOS, and Android Engineers, you’ll build product innovations for Catawiki’s apps and web app.<br>You’ll collaborate closely with QA, UX Designers, Product Managers, and with the support of a Tech Lead Manager to create beautiful, adaptable web frontends on top of scalable microservices. While your product area may vary, your goal will remain the same: deliver reliable, high-quality experiences that make a meaningful impact for our users.</p> <h3><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h3> <p>Here at Catawiki, you will make an impact by improving and delivering product innovations for the Catawiki platform:</p> <ul> <li value="1"><strong><strong class="textBold">Build impactful product experiences</strong></strong> by improving and delivering innovations across the Catawiki platform for buyers, sellers, customer service, and internal operations teams.</li> <li value="2"><strong><strong class="textBold">Create adaptable web frontends</strong></strong> on top of scalable microservices using our core frontend stack of TypeScript and ReactJS.</li> <li value="3"><strong><strong class="textBold">Deliver responsive, accessible experiences</strong></strong> that work well across desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.</li> <li value="4"><strong><strong class="textBold">Optimise product performance</strong></strong> by measuring and monitoring systems and using insights to improve the experiences you build.</li> <li value="5"><strong><strong class="textBold">Experiment and learn</strong></strong> by partnering with Product Managers and UX Designers on A/B tests, using data analysis to validate ideas and iterate.</li> <li value="6"><strong><strong class="textBold">Collaborate across disciplines</strong></strong> with engineers, QA, design, and product colleagues to build scalable and maintainable solutions.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></h3> <p>You are a <em>Frontend Engineer</em> with extensive frontend experience in multiple technologies, with an impressive portfolio of past frontend deliveries, and eager to expand your knowledge and impact, ready to take the next step in your career. As a Senior Developer, you are effective in lifting the level of your team, and you love to cooperate with Frontend Engineers of other teams.</p> <ul> <li value="1"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Extensive frontend experience</span>:</span> Demonstrated experience as a Frontend Engineer, using JavaScript or TypeScript as your main stack, with a strong portfolio of frontend deliveries.</li> <li value="2"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Strong web foundations</span>:</span> Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, along with an understanding of HTTP/S, the Critical Rendering Path, CORS, caching, and CDNs.</li> <li value="3"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Modern frontend expertise</span>:</span> Familiarity with libraries and frameworks such as ReactJS, NextJS, Redux, CSS Modules, Tailwind, and/or Rails.</li> <li value="4"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Product-focused collaboration</span>:</span> Proven experience in product companies, working closely with engineers and Product Managers as part of an autonomous, cross-functional team.</li> <li value="5"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Production ownership</span>:</span> Experience designing, implementing, deploying, monitoring, and managing applications with a focus on availability, latency, and consistency - you build it, you run it, you love it.</li> <li value="6"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Quality-minded engineering</span>:</span> An understanding of principles such as SOLID and DRY, with consideration for accessibility, security, SEO, performance, testing, observability, internationalisation, and typing when building features.</li> <li value="7"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Collaborate and grow with your team</span>:</span> You take initiative, welcome new challenges, help raise the level of your team, share knowledge across teams, and actively expand your skills and impact.</li> <li value="8"><span class="textBold"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Experiment, learn, and iterate</span>:</span> You validate ideas quickly, iterate based on insights, and are willing to discard what does not work - then build validated solutions for long-term scalability and maintainability.</li> </ul> <p>Familiarity with <strong>NodeJS</strong> and experience running it in production is a plus.
